Thomas J. Emery Memorial Grants $25,000 toward Exterior Restoration
The Foundation is embarking on a historic restoration of the Barn's exterior. Her split cedar shingles are nearly a century old, and it is time to replace them on the surfaces of the Barn where the sun shines most brightly: the south faces and the courtyard (Phase I). We are thrilled to announce a very generous "anchor" grant from the Thomas J. Emery Memorial in the amount of $25,000 - one third of the project cost of Phase I. It is hoped this initial amount will attract more capital grants, and keep this fantastic example of adaptive re-use, as an Ohio Cultural Arts center, going strong into the next century.
