According to Ruthe Wyman, "It’s a visual representation of my innermost thoughts, disposition and character. With so many events being cancelled in 2020 and 2021, the majority of these acrylic paintings have not been out of the studio. They started in my mind and made it to the canvas. Naturally, I want to bring them out. “The Barn” is a comfortable place.

 You may have seen me there at many group shows. This will be my 4^th solo show there since 2017. It would be fantastic to see everyone who visited then. The public is invited. Please visit me November 5-17, 2021 during posted Gallery hours.

Ruthe Wyman

Ruthe is a native of Northern Kentucky and Florence resident.  She graduated with honors from Thomas More College (B.A. in Art), University of Cincinnati (M.A. in Art Education) and Northern Kentucky University (Rank I).  Her first career was teaching art to students of all grades at Williamstown Independent and Grant County High School. As a professional artist, acrylic painting has always been her preferred medium with an additional interest in mixed media.  Her most recent works exhibit a continual exploration of color, texture and emotion.  Ruthe is a member of the Cincinnati Art Museum, the CAM Women’s Committee and the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati.  She is also a member of the Boone County Visual Arts Association and serves as publicity chairperson for the organization.  Besides creating and selling her art, she has donated art to benefit local charities within the community.  Her work has been exhibited at numerous places including: The Kentucky Capitol Rotunda, Art Academy of Cincinnati, Carnegie Art Center in Covington, Northern Kentucky University, Nordheim Gallery, Woman’s Art Club Cultural Center (The Barn), Art on the Levee Gallery and other galleries, art  fairs and businesses.  For more information, please visit her website at www.rwymanart.com.
