Emiko Kuisel was born in Kyoto, Japan. She began her Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) training when she was 10 years old. She has the highest rank master degree of the largest Japanese Calligraphy Association. Emiko's arts, which are for sale, comes alive with the ebb & flow of her brush strokes, and through the shapes they take which bring the Kanji. Also, this Exhibition will be on display her Students who study Shodo under Emiko Kuisel's tutelage at The Barn!
Teruko Nesbitt was born and raised in Japan and has been living in Cincinnati since 1997. Her first encounter with ikebana was at Misho School more than 40 years ago, as her mother practiced it for many years. Teruko has been a practitioner of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana for a decade. She has been granted a 2nd-Sanyo certified teacher's license from Sogetsu Headquarters in Tokyo. She continues her Ikebana education as a regular member of Japan's Sogetsu Masters Class, and Head Master's Class.
Sogetsu Ikebana Montgomery Group arranges all ikebana displays for this exhibition.
