This class will provide beginner students with a background in the history of Crochet, and also introduce the basic chain, single, double and triple crochet stitches commonly used in crochet projects. We will create a project that will be complete using one skein and I will teach you how to read a printed pattern.  (Project may not be completed by end of class but can be completed at home on your timeline.) $35 includes materials, $30 without (requires 2 skeins of medium weight yarn and appropriate size hook and scarf pattern)

Please bring a pair of scissors with you and something to take notes.

Teacher Bio:  Joy Ritter CZT

When I was 9 years old my grandmother lived with us. She would crochet every day and I finally asked her what she was doing. She introduced me to CROCHET and I haven't stopped since!  That has been a few years now and I am still in love with it as much as the day she taught me.  I am pleased to bring my love of crochet to those that are interested in FIBER ARTS and just plain being creative. Not to mention we can make beautiful handmade gifts that are cherished by loved ones.

In other creative areas I graduated with my Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) in July 2015 taught by the creators of Zentangle - Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. I am retired from the corporate world and am sharing with you the amazing world of FIBER ARTS
