Saturday Oct 20th: Morning 10-1 Perfect Finishes: Binding Your Quilts

Binding isn’t always the most glamorous part of quilting, but it is the final that makes sure your whole quilt doesn’t fall apart! Traditional double fold binding provides a beautiful and durable finish to your quilt. Learn how to finish binding by machine or by hand, as well bias or straight cut binding, and the advantages to each. You’ll also learn how to calculate how much binding you need for a project. We’ll also talk about how the binding interacts with the design of your quilt, and explore other methods of finishing our quilts as time allows, including adding a hanging sleeve and a label.
