Oct. 3: Celebrating the Women of Mariemont, featuring Resthaven Barn Visionary, Jane McDonald

You’re invited to the 2019 Millard F. Rogers Jr. Lecture Series, presented by the Mariemont Preservation Foundation, on Oct. 3rd at The Barn (Woman’s Art Club Cultural Center). The lecture, CELEBRATING the Women of Mariemont, features lively storytelling from our guest and visionary of historic preservation, Jane McDonald, as well as a recognition of the many women contributing to our village (founded of course, by a woman!)

The lecture kicks off with a reception in the Gallery on Oct. 3, from 6:30 – 7:30pm. Come partake of hors d’oeuvres and wine while enjoying a ”sneak peek” of the Woman’s Art Club All Members show, before it opens to the public. The lecture will begin upstairs at 7:30pm, with a presentation about the Women of Mariemont, from Mary Emery to today’s women contributors. Then guest speaker Jane McDonald will share her story of how the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati repurposed the historic Resthaven Barn into a community arts center that adds vibrant creativity to our Village. Prints of the above painting (by Jane McDonald) are available with a donation to Mariemont Preservation Foundation.
