Emi Kuisel's Shodo Students Inaugural Exhibition

Welcome to the first exhibition by students who study Shodo under Emiko Kuisel's tutelage at The Barn!  This exhibition will be on display in the Gallery from November 5 - 11. Gallery is open:

November 5 & 6, from 10am to 2pm

Saturday November 7, from 1 - 4pm (Opening Reception)

Sunday, November 8, from 1 - 4pm

November 10 & 11 from 10am to 2pm

Emiko Kuisel was born in Kyoto, Japan. She began her Japanese calligraphy  (Shodo) training when she was 10 years old. She has the highest rank master degree of the largest Japanese Calligraphy Association. She has been immersed and trained in the many styles & techniques of Traditional Japanese Calligraphy. Since becoming a Master, it has been her passion to embody a culmination of those traditional styles into an original expression all her own. Emiko's art comes alive with the ebb & flow of her brush strokes, and through the shapes they take which bring the Kanji ~ Japanese Characters to life and meaning.
