Exhibiting at The Barn

Why not book your next exhibit at the beautiful, historic Barn?

The Barn is located in the Village of Mariemont, a National Historic Landmark, just a few blocks from the Square and only 15 minutes from downtown. You will find charming original architectural detail in this sensitively renovated former working dairy barn (originally called "Resthaven Barn"). There is plenty of parking on site, in a serene and picturesque neighborhood.

We offer two different exhibition spaces for two entirely different effects.

Our Gallery (first floor) features state-of-the-art adjustable lighting, beautiful oak floors, and sound system. Artwork is mounted by nailing into the carpeted walls (which are backed by 1" of plywood). The Gallery offers 1250 square feet with 125 linear feet of hanging space. The first floor is completely handicapped accessible, with two accessible restrooms nearby.

Our Loft (second floor) features soaring original timbers and barnwood, a dozen skylights, and updated lighting including three "wagon wheel" chandeliers. Artwork may be mounted to picture rail with adjustable strap, and quilts may be mounted from a rail hanging system. The Loft is accessible by elevator, and there are two handicap accessible restrooms on the second floor. The Loft offers 2500 square feet with 92 linear feet of hanging space.

In addition to the exhibitor's own publicity efforts, we feature your exhibit on our website, send a show announcement email to our 2000+ subscribers, and post the show info on cincinnati.com.  Usage fees for Gallery and Loft exhibits are as follows:

* Time Period includes hanging and taking down of artwork

* Exhibit Rental includes utilization of Gallery walls only. The Gallery floor remains open for public & private use. A 20% donation from the artist is collected on all sales. Checks are made out to the artist, not The Barn.

Gallery rental includes a 3-hour time block for your opening reception. Since The Barn is a cultural arts center serving the public, we reserve the right to schedule public and private events on the Gallery floor during exhibits, i.e. you are renting the walls and not the "floor". Weekend show sitting is responsibility of exhibitor, subject to availability. The Barn Gallery is open weekdays when there is someone in the office, generally 9am to 2pm Tuesday - Friday with no guarantees (i.e. office may be closed to offsite meeting, holiday, illness, etc). To guarantee your exhibit is open during the week, the exhibitor should plan to sit the show.
